Hush!

By thisisbooth

Hush is often a word used by a parent directed toward a fidgiting child.  But hush can mean so much more.  In a day, hush can be the dusk before night.  In a year, it can be November’s Fall before December’s Winter.

Hush is a time of settling down; a time of transition and reflection.  To hush can mean we ready ourselves for what comes next.  It helps us to listen for what we need to hear.  To look for what we need to see.

With the holidays quickly approaching, now would be a great time to “Hush!”  So take a moment with me and let us each review where we’ve been, turning  then to face the direction we each need to go to move forward.  This is what ”hush’ means to me.   What does it mean to you?
